Hi all :D

I decided to create a new, different kind of quiz... Basically meant to learn people more about the bush in Kruger, more specifically trees. Also aimed at testing the ability to remember detail.....

I'm afraid this quiz is meant for the absolute Kruger fanatics who have been to Kruger VERY often and start recognizing trees as landmarks  Specific trees are indeed landmarks in Kruger, and I thought it might just be fun to single out a few.

You HAVE to state (1) what type of tree it is (even if it's merely a tree stem) and more or less (2) where. If at a waterhole / dam, be specific, if just randomly along a road more of less the area.

This quiz is for all of us to learn.. I'm BY NO MEANS a tree expert, so I will quickly check what type of tree it is when I confirm the location. Suspect there will be instances where I'm wrong, then please help me out. I want to learn as well :)

I will only comment every 36 hours or so, so have patience in order to allow people to think / do some research.

NB: Surroundings, the type of tree and vegetation around might help you to identify a specific tree in Kruger. Please refrain from participating in this quiz when you do not see the point of it. It's kind of a test :D

To start off easy

Ok seems a little bit difficult...

Tree guess is correct, it is a Sycamore fig (Ficus Sycomorus). Wrong place Forest gump. To the right is a small pool (waterhole) which is along a small loop in central Kruger. VERY popular small waterhole along a dust road loop....

It looks kind of like one of the small loops on the S100, but I don't think that's it.
