The City Guides

When developing the route for the Table Mountain Trail, Table Mountain National Park chose to outsource the trail through Cape Town thereby ensuring that hikers would benefit from a specialist in cultural and historic tours. Add For more information visit: www.footstepstofreedom.co.za

Launched in 2002 with the Footsteps to Freedom City tour, Footsteps to Freedom specialises in City tours with a focus on Cape Town’s cultural heritage. Other tours include the Waterfront Walk, the Bo-Kaap Experience and the Footsteps and Township Combination. To back our core business we have developed proficiency around training and marketing to ensure that our service is of high standard. As our marketing tool we have compiled a series of guide maps to promote our own and other tourism products.

Footsteps to Freedom is owned by Garth Angus who intends to continue to promote and grow walking tours as an attractive tourism experience. Garth is also committed to transforming his business in line with government Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) requirements with the aim of developing a profitable, sustainable tour operating company that provides exceptional tour-guiding services. In partnering the TMNP he has specifically developed and trained guides to lead day 1 of the Hoerikwaggo™ Table Mountain Trail.
